The Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) Program is a classified program designed for immigrants to get an Express Entry into Canada. The program is especially dedicated to foreigners who hold good work experience in any field. These people can easily migrate to Canada and live there permanently using their skills.

To meet the requirement for the program, here’s what the candidate needs to have:

· Work experience

· Education

· Language skills

Requirement of the Work Experience

If you’re planning to move to Canada based on FSW Program, then you need to hold skilled work experience in any of the following categories:

· Managerial jobs (mine managers, restaurant managers, etc.)

· Professional jobs (architects, doctors, dentists, etc.)

· Technical jobs (electricians, plumbers, etc.)

What Kind of Work Experience Do You Need?

Before applying for the application, you need to ensure that you’re applying for the same job in which you hold relevant experience. Your last ten years’ experience is counted for the application. Apart from it, you must have been paid for the job. If you have only volunteered for the job or completed an unpaid internship, it won’t be counted in your application.

To be eligible for immigration, you must have completed at least 1,560 hours on the job, i.e. one year of continuous work. You don’t need to complete it with a full-time job. An equal amount in a part-time job or full-time at more than one job will also be counted in the process.

You must have completed at least 30 hours/week because the Canadian government does not count the hours above it. It’s necessary to assess if you’re right for the application or not, so the best thing is to check your eligibility before applying for it.
