1. You must get an investment of at least $75,000 from your designated Angel investor

2. The venture capital fund should confirm that they’re at least investing a minimum of $200,000 into your qualifying business.

3. A business incubator should accept you, the applicant, into their incubator program.

How would I qualify for a permanent residence on a startup visa?

To qualify for your permanent residence in Canada:

- You should be actively involved in the operations of the business in Canada

- The operations of the said business must be in Canada

Processing time for the startup visa

Generally, a startup visa may take anywhere from 12 to 16 months. However, there are a few ways you can avoid delays:

- Keep the visa office updated on any changes in personal information such as your email, telephone number, address, etc.

- Don't contact the visa office about the same issue more than once.
